On the second floor you will find the bicycle as we recognise today: modern racing bicycles, bicycles for everyday use, and recumbent and folding bicycles. You will also see a number of experiments in design by the rapidly developing bicycle industry. Also on show are American classic bicycles (from which the modern mountain bike evolved) and twentieth-century military bicycles. In addition, there is a separate Dutch Room which is entirely devoted to cycles made in Holland.
